Homes Now, Inc. and Homes Now Beachview Residence, Inc. along with RPM Development recently received the 2016 Governor’s Excellence in Housing Award in Housing Revitalization for their work on the Beachview Residence.  The award was proudly accepted by Carol A. Wolfe, Founder and CEO of Homes Now, Inc.  The Beachview Residence is located in Atlantic City, NJ approximately 200 feet from the boardwalk and ocean in a residential community and offers 58 affordable housing units for seniors 55 years and older with 15 of the 58 units set aside for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.

This particular award recognizes achievement in affordable housing projects that demonstrate revitalization or development of a distressed or blighted neighborhood while including an affordable housing component.  The Beachview Residence was a former high-rise nursing home that was transformed into affordable beachfront housing and was designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.  Funding for this project was made possible by Homes Now, Inc. receiving Low Income Housing Tax Credits; Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funding from the Fund of Restoration of Multifamily Housing; NJHMFA Special Needs Housing Trust Funds; and construction financing from Wells Fargo.
